Hand Woven Carpet
Jacaranda aim to offer carpets and rugs of real character. so as their portfolio has grown, they have moved towards natural materials woven by traditional methods.
All of the floor coverings within the hand woven section are created on traditional looms. Their creation involves large numbers of highly skilled artisans and rigorous quality control.
Why natural fibres?
Jacaranda believes that pure wool still makes the best carpets. The elasticity of good quality wool gives excellent resilience and wear properties.
Its fibres are covered in a thin membrane which inhibits water penetration, so providing natural stain resistance. Wool is naturally flame retardant. It holds less static than most synthetic yarns so does not attract dust or promote the growth of dust mites or bacteria.
All of Jacaranda's carpets are the natural colour of the wool used, no dye is put into the carpet, meaning you get a range of beautiful natural tones that can compliment any room.
Jacaranda take quality control very seriously, and each roll is checked and rechecked to make sure it falls within industry tolerances. However, slight variations in colour, weave and pile weight are inevitable and part of the handmade character rather than faults.
